The U.S. National Library of Medicine indicates that genetics explains between 30% and 80% of athletic performance.
Knowing it allows you to customize training and nutrition to enhance strengths and improve areas of opportunity, maximizing performance.
Genetics, injuries and sports nutrition
Genetics influence the risk of injury and how the body processes nutrients.
ADNSport helps identify predispositions and adjust training, supplementation and nutrition to prevent injury, optimize performance and improve body composition.
How this study is performed
This study analyzes genetic variants hitherto known in the human genome.
The technique used for this genetic study is known as microarray, in Genolife we use the microarray Global Screening Array Chip (Illumina®), which consists of a panel of biomarkers or single nucleotide variants (SNPs) that help us identify genetic variants of each patient, the variants analyzed were carefully selected by Genolife based on the following criteria: the variants have a Latin population frequency and that their clinical implication is validated by a research study of more than 1000 individuals.
The interpretation of the genetic variants has been performed by Genolife Información de Vida.
